Description
Early 19th Century Hide Covered BoxEarly Victorian wooden document box covered in hide with brown leather trim & tacks. Measures about 12 x 6 x 5. No hinges: The lid is fixed to the base by the hide, so the lid must be held open. Original wallpaper lining inside. Key is missing and there is a mark on the lid where the handle had gotten stuck at some point during its life. Still overall a very attractive and functional box.
