Fleurie Domaine La Madone 2023A small domaine that is focused on the organics, they grow their own vegetables and encourage wildlife into the vineyard. They have some of the oldest vines in the area with most of their vine being 70 100 years old. The fruit for this wine comes from La Madone hill, rated as one of the best vineyards in Fleurie! Bright and floral with ripe cherry and herbs that are backed up with a touch of spice and good depth.

The vineyards have been mapped into six separate zones by the acclaimed Chilean terroir consultant

and the other half a month later when the grapes have dried out a bit

the bee population has soared throughout the estate

It is a wine with a strong personality and intense colour

On the palate it is bright and harmonious

formed of blending the different white grapes of the region

they favour native fermentations

Great acidity remains on these whites

The grapes are meticulously hand-harvested

just off National Route 40

and a fromage frais like characteristic

to whom the ancient temple of Castor and Pollux is dedicated
