Linen Backing FabricLinen has always been the gold standard as a backing for hooked rugs. Because it is flax fibers, it is the most durable fabric for rugs. It actually becomes stronger when it is exposed to moisture and will last for many generations. Our linen is made with mixed threads, bleached and unbleached. This combination gives it great strength but a softer hand than bleached linen. Its color is lighter than unbleached linen, which makes it easier to draw
