Book Vesta Case - Charming Victorian Match Safe Double Ended with MatchesThis is a lovely match safe or vesta from the Victorian era. It is shaped like a book with all kinds of details. It has openings to the top and bottom and opens nicely and the hinges are good and it snaps shut beautifully with some minor internal cleaning residue. It has a striker to the base and a blank cartouche to the front. It has been silver plated and this has worn nicely to the brass underneath. The spine of the book design is very nicely
