This was the second *ever* bottling of Daftmill. This Daftmill 2006 vintage Summer Release is a marriage of 7 first fill bourbon casks from heaven Hill made with barley grown in 2004, distilled and filled to cask in Summer 2006,

which basically means the merciless filtering and reduction of many great malts by the bottlers for this CC series over the years

so the whisky would have been distilled most likely in the early to mid 1970s

A 1982 Auchroisk bottled in 2012 as part of Diageo's annual Special Releases

and was bottled at its natural cask strength of 48
