Epiphyllum Guatemalense f. Monstrosa
Description
Epiphyllum Guatemalense f. MonstrosaThis amazing epiphytic species is native to parts of Guatemala. The thick foliage continues to curl as it grows down. Commonly referred to as an Orchid Cactus, it produces lots cute little pink flowers in the early spring if provided enough light. Care Being a jungle cacti, this species will do best in a bright filtered light as direct sun will want to be avoided. We would recommend watering when the soil is completely dry roughly every 10 14 days.
This cane variety is a hybrid of maculata
They will do best in a bright filtered light that is shaded from any harsh direct sun
It makes gift buying so difficult and we've all been there
much like other species in the Dischidia genus
Lovely bright colorful foliage great for any household
Beautiful easy going plants usually coming in around 3 feet tall
These do not like to go dry at all
This is hands down one of our favorite Euphorbia
Watering can be cut back to every 3-4 weeks come the winter time when they are dormant
We've seen these tall as trees in botanical gardens and they can become quite impressive and woody at the base
though they can tolerate lower light conditions very well
Under watering can be just as detrimental as over watering
