Its really quite hard to find a solid long life pair of sandals and as expected with Vasco, they have made a great version. The leathers are slightly stiff but soon supple thick cowhides in very rich hand burnished washed colours. In no time the leather will soften up and shape to your foot and patina galore.

It will age to perfection with minimal maintenance and develop those lovely rolls as you get with Horse hides

He could comfortably have worn a medium weight shirt/ thicker layer underneath with ease (take a look at the sizing info) but for heavier layering he would need to go up a size if he would like to move his arms North
