Description

Hazenhurst Barn, 12" x 12"An iconic New England image: a large red barn. I found this very distressed, beautiful barn on the Connecticut River in CT and learned that it was formerly used as an apple barn as well as a dairy barn. I layered my photograph with vintage documents and acrylic paints and stains to give a vintage feel on a contemporary piece of art. This is the one of a kind original, not a reproduction. Specifications: art is 12" x 12" on wood panel in a natural wood

This image of a mountain range was captured in Buena Vista

This piece comes from the Communities Set in my Life in the 30s and features a railroad employee loading cans of milk onto the Denver & Rio Grande Western train

Captured on Independence Pass in Colorado

CT which is sadly in the process of being demolished despite community and preservation group efforts to save the historic buildings

Although currently abandoned

Found while exploring a rail graveyard deep in the woods

one of two covered railroad bridges remaining in the state

This original piece of artwork features part of the building that once housed the forge of the Colt Firearms Factory in Hartford
