The dimple drilled rotor was invented by EBC back in the 90s and has been imitated by many because of its ability to offer pad degassing without Through Drilling which has been shown to promote disc rotor cracks. The design features 3 slot venting which provides little air noise under

bed-in times can be as long as 1000 miles and drivers must be patient until the pad takes up the shape of their disc (brake rotor)

meaning higher levels of brake dust and brake noise should be expected
