Opal (Pink and Lavender)
Description
Opal (Pink and Lavender)Opal is known from hundreds of world localities. It's one of the few species that looks as good when it's transparent as when it's opaque. In 2018, in the Pisco Province of the Ica Department of Peru, there was a new discovery of beautiful pink Opal specimens. The material shows an almost botryoidal form with a soft, flowing, almost ethereal appearance. When exposed to SW UV light, you can see a striking fluorescent neon green glow from a thin coating
Good condition
but this piece is a notably different style than the traditional twins
I love how the crystals formed into semi-"rosettes"
These specimens have been labeled as being Quartz after Baryte pseudomorphs but
This piece is a gorgeous multi-color doubly terminated “floater” crystal with fairly good luster along the striated prism faces and both terminations
Beryl or Topaz
antimony sulfosalt which are associated with rare lustrous acicular Zinkenite crystals
A beautiful example of Feldspar from Colorado
Specimen # BOL711B59
They look like little beads of jelly
otherwise the price would be quite a bit higher
One of the very few pieces from this uncommon find in Cunningham Gulch
